Well we might be a week late, but we’re kicking off 2012 with a bit of a different version of Some Shit We Like. The new year (as is usually the case) is slow out of the gate with very little, shall we say, fresh shit for us to like and discuss amongst ourselves. However, never being at a loss for words, we improvised and presented what we were most looking forward to in the year to come of video games and film. Also, good friend of the show, Ryan O’Leary, joined us and shared his latest projects, Snack Shack and Jesus Christ! 2!!, much to our delight. Finally, for good measure, there is always our usual banter and randomness, but you’ll just have to listen for more on that.

Otherwise, here’s a glimpse of what else awaits in our first show of the year:

FLIX WE PIX:
Rick – Buck
Mike – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Bryce – United States of Tara

VIDEO GAMES:
News – Starhawk’s potentially new and surprising DLC strategy
News – Kaz Hirai soon becoming president of Sony
NewsGran Turismo 5 XL releases January 17th with $20 DLC voucher
News – UFC on Xbox Live FAIL, promises future free access…again (only to those who registered for free access of UFC 141)

For more information on Ryan O’Leary, please check out his website, follow him on Twitter, and while you’re at it, check out  the original Jesus Christ!

Steve Jobs 1955-2011

Category : Latest News, Technology

The first time I used an Apple computer was in elementary school.  The Apple II was the first computer that help me learn how to type.  Jobs was a visionary and an innovator.  The Apple fanboy & fangirls will miss him.

After the break, is a video of Jobs talking to Standford University. It’s title “Steve Jobs: How to live before you die”
