Description from YouTube:  On a late night visit to an ATM, three coworkers end up in a desperate fight for their lives when they become trapped by an unknown man.

Starring:  Alice Eve, Josh Peck, Brian Geraghty, Will Woytowich and Aaron Hughes

This looks so bad that I actually want to see it, which is saying a lot because I hate horror flicks. After watching the trailer, I felt as if this had been kept under wraps since the 90’s and is just now finally being released.  ATM was directed by first timer, David Brooks and is written by Chris Sparling, who also wrote Buried starring Ryan Reynolds.

ATM will be released on VOD and digital download on March 2nd. It hits theaters on April 6th.

Directed, written and produced by James Franco.  He is not a stranger when it comes to writing and directing.  He has written and directed a few shorts and a couple features.  The Broken Tower is available for digital download and On Demand Now.

Description from YouTube:  From Focus World and director/star James Franco, a film about visionary poet Hart Crane, who lived a life of beauty, passion, and tragedy. Hart Crane was one of the most important voices in American poetry — but lived a life with as much turmoil as passion. From his early life to his journeys from New York, Cuba, and Paris, Crane’s story and that of the loves that defined him is told with imaginative empathy, and with a no holds barred performance — in a film as introspective, rebellious, heartbreaking, and honest as Crane himself.

Well we might be a week late, but we’re kicking off 2012 with a bit of a different version of Some Shit We Like. The new year (as is usually the case) is slow out of the gate with very little, shall we say, fresh shit for us to like and discuss amongst ourselves. However, never being at a loss for words, we improvised and presented what we were most looking forward to in the year to come of video games and film. Also, good friend of the show, Ryan O’Leary, joined us and shared his latest projects, Snack Shack and Jesus Christ! 2!!, much to our delight. Finally, for good measure, there is always our usual banter and randomness, but you’ll just have to listen for more on that.

Otherwise, here’s a glimpse of what else awaits in our first show of the year:

FLIX WE PIX:
Rick – Buck
Mike – Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie
Bryce – United States of Tara

VIDEO GAMES:
News – Starhawk’s potentially new and surprising DLC strategy
News – Kaz Hirai soon becoming president of Sony
NewsGran Turismo 5 XL releases January 17th with $20 DLC voucher
News – UFC on Xbox Live FAIL, promises future free access…again (only to those who registered for free access of UFC 141)

For more information on Ryan O’Leary, please check out his website, follow him on Twitter, and while you’re at it, check out  the original Jesus Christ!

IMDb Description: Trapped inside her family’s lakeside retreat, a young woman descends into madness.

I was very impressed with Elizabeth Olsen in Martha Marcy May Marlene last year.  Her performance was awesome.  Another movie she did that caused a lot of buzz at Sundance was Silent House,  a remake of Gustavo Hernandez’s La Casa Muda.  Both movies clam to be done in one continuous shot and that is why everyone finds this movie intriguing.  The film comes out on  March 9th, 2012.
