Ava SnowBD

I’m a big fan of sci-fi, magic, and other worldly things. Throw in some comedy and romance and you got me hooked. Just last week a trailer for Ava Snow Battles Death came out along with some clips of this soon to come web series.

Ava Snow Battles Death was created by Zack Drisko and Arielle Davidsohn. They will launch their kickstarter on October 5 to attempt to raise five thousand dollars to help make their pilot episode. Davidsohn plays the lead of Ava Snow, a knife-throwing badass in which overlords from another dimension want to take her soul.

I feel like we haven’t really seen anything like this on television since Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So that’s why its best to turn to the internet for more creativity. A show with quick whit, romance, and comedy all set in a horror sci-fi genre. The first clip I saw was “You up for an adventure?” which teases you just enough to make you want to know what is going to happen next with Ava and Kylee. The visual effects & cinematography in the trailer are awesome. They have a really great team. The fight scene is impressive too. According to the Press Release, Davidsohn underwent extreme training to pull off the fight scene and also trained in knife-throwing too.

Don’t let the big celebrities take over kickstarter. Support the real independent filmmakers and creators out there. I can’t wait for this kickstarter to be fully funded so they can start shooting soon. I want to know more about Ava, her friend Kylee and Maynard, who is possessed by the Overlords of Death. Be sure to kick in your chips on October 5 and subscribe to their Youtube to stay up to date.

Although I don’t live in the UK, I have seen seasons 1-4 of Skins. I absolutely love the first group from season one and two. When season three came, they brought in new faces, except for Effy, who was Tony’s sisters. She was the only one who was in all four seasons and the only reason I still watched seasons three and four. I tried to watch five, but I just could not get into it.

I don’t usually like to use the word groundbreaking, but that is what this show was. Skins covered issues such as drug use, sex, strong profanity, and other hot topics that most shows would shy away from. Of course the reason for that is because they were teenagers. MTV tried to make an American version of this show and it failed. Although it was good on a few levels, it just couldn’t match the uncensored UK version.

Trailers for every season are directed in a very unique and storytelling way. This will be the return of Effy, Cassie, and Cook, which they are naming the episodes Fire, Pure and Rise. I just sure as hell hope that Sid found Cassie and that we get at least one scene with Effy and Tony. I am sure the biggest question on everyone’s mind is what happened in that basement with Cook too!

For pictures of the new season go to E4 Skins.

Wow, what a start to the final season of Burn Notice. I can’t believe that the show has gotten to seven seasons and 100 episodes. We get to see deal that Michael Westin has made to get his friends free. Also we see, what everyone has been up to and a few new characters appear in the mix. Someone from Spartacus the gods of area is one of the new villains, Nick Tarabay who played Ashur. If you have seen that show, you will know his character will do anything to get what he wants.  Another villain is an old friend and co-work of Michael Westin. The episode takes place in two locations, miami and the dominican republic. We also see Michael Westin speak better spanish, compared to past seasons.  I can’t wait to see what the next episode will bring.

It’s here! The first promo for Joss Whedon’s new show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. After the mega success of The Avengers, Marvel is making a spin-off show of the film. I am extremely excited for this. Joss is back on TV and not with FOX. The show will be on ABC and is being run not only by Joss Whedon, but also his brother Jed, and Maurissa Tancharoen. All three have worked on Dollhouse and Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along blog.

The show brings back Clark Gregg to reprise his role as Agent Phil Coulson. Agent Coulson will gather a team of special agents to investigate the strange and unknown. The cast will include: Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton Chloe Bennet, Lain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge. I can’t wait for the premier and I highly recommend people to watch. As you know from watching The Avengers, an ensemble cast is what Whedon does best.
