This morning Apple released iOS 5 for the iPhone, iPad and other iOS devices.  An update to iTunes became available as well.  Since new technology can be overwhelming  and confusing for some people, LifeHacker, one of my favorite websites, has got you covered. They have provided the steps to setting up your iDevice’s Wi-Fi Sync, iCloud, and Notification Center. There is also a handy video that tells you everything you need to know about iOS  5 in Seven Minutes.   Be sure to listen to next week’s SSWL for my full review on Apple’s iOS 5.

Have you already played with iOS 5?  Do you like it or hate it? Comment below.

I’m sure everyone has already heard, but I am sad to report that Steve Jobs has passed away.  We knew he had a lot of health issues, and you can read about it HERE. The first time I used an Apple computer was in elementary school.  The Apple II was the first computer that help me learn how to type.  Jobs was a visionary and an innovator.  The Apple fanboy & fangirls will miss him.

After the break, is a video of Jobs talking to Standford University. It’s title “Steve Jobs: How to live before you die”

It has been well documented on SSWL that I am a huge fan of the Gran Turismo series. An update to GT5 has been discussed for awhile, but the recent natural disasters in Japan coupled with an office relocation has led to Polyphony Digital falling behind on major updates to the game. However, minor game play tweaks and regular updates to seasonal events have still occurred in spite of all this, making an already awesome game an even more enjoyable experience. All that being said, I came across an article on one of my favorite GT related sites (gtplanet.net) which detailed some of the major things coming with the Spec 2.0 update as well as the DLC that’s coming soon after. Check it out here and be sure to buy the game while you are at it. With its recent price drop, you can get the game at most major retailers for about $40 bucks. I’ll probably be gushing about it on the show this week.
