Hello everyone and welcome to the SSWL Network news desk. We are posting this to let you all know that we are taking this week off. However, we will be posting a non-audio version of the show later this week. Basically that means we will have a full rundown (movie/video game/tech news, flix we pix, other randomness, etc.) of what we usually cover,  but without the audio. So keep checking back  for that and thanks for reading/listening.

It took 1.5 years in the making but Dan Trachtenberg of the Tottaly Rad Show released his Short of Portal: No Escape Based on the Video Game from Valve.  As you guys know (Especially from this weeks episode) I love the Portal Games.  That being said, this is a fantastic short that I hope someone in Hollywood sees and funds for a movie or even a webseries like they did with Mortal Kombat.  Check out the short below.

It’s been about five years since Brian De Palma (Scarface, Mission: Impossible) has made a new movie and it looks like he is back to direct a thriller called The Key Man.  The film is being written by Joby Harold (Army of the Dead) Deadline.com says “It’s about a single father who’s targeted by U.S. government agents because his body contains answers to important national secrets.”

Mission: Impossible was the first Brian De Palma movie I saw.  I know he is most very famous for Scarface but as a close friend of mind often says “Haven’t Seen it!”  But, I will be seeing it soon as it is coming to theaters again on August 31. It would be great to see it on the big screen for the first time.

Video under the cut.

So over at The High Definite they post this YouTube clip of the 25 Greatest Unscripted Scenes in Film.  Some of them I’ve already knew, and a few I wasn’t aware of.  Like Heath repeatedly hitting the button on the remote detonator in The Dark Knight.  That was awesome.   Did you know about any of these?  Take a look and comment below.
