Coverage of Impact, Smackdown, Slammiversary, and Raw are all jammed into this week’s edition of The Wrestling Buddies. Yes, we know the show is a day late and we deeply apologize for any pain and deprivation this may have caused. Feedback is always welcomed, especially on iTunes. Thanks for the support!
SSWL is proud to announce a new feature film from Christine Vartoughian entitled Living with the Dead. Vartoughian has worked behind the camera in a variety of different roles from a production assistant on Project Runway to writing/directing/producing her own short, The Visions of Dylan Bradley, among other things. She also worked on reoccurring guest Ryan O’Leary’s The Backseat as a production designer. Rick was lucky enough to visit the production of The Backseat and witness first hand Vartoughian’s keen eye for detail.
With all that said, we are excited to present the initial press release for her full-length directorial debut below:

To ensure we fit it in this week, we opened the show finally discussing the Foley doc and some of the matches included with it. After that, you know the drill: Impact, Smackdown, Raw, and whatever else we got sidetracked with. Download the show to find out our thoughts on the week in wrestling and leave us some feedback so we know how we’re doing. Whether it’s positive or negative, it doesn’t matter. We can handle it. Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.
With Extreme Rules having taken place this past Sunday, there was a lot material for us to banter over as is usually the case on a PPV week. This is a long one, but that just means more time with your (wrestling) buddies. Apologies to Mick Foley are in order for getting Matt Damon’ed. We intend on discussing his latest documentary piece next week, but we said that last week, so who knows.
Feedback of any variety is welcomed. Leave us some. Don’t be shy.
