Summer Shows of 2012

BY: Tim Surette

It’s that time again for the shows that didn’t make it to the fall line. I’m excited about two shows that are in the top 10. The first is called Newsroom and will air on HBO. It is written by Aaron Sorkin and takes place in 24-hour newsroom, similar to CNN. It follows the dramas of the characters, in and out of the newsroom. The second is called Comedy Bang! Bang!/Bunk and will air on IFC. It is a comedy show that Scott Aukerman (Mr.Show) mocks the daily afternoon interview talk shows. It has many guests, such as Amy Poehler and Zach Galifianakis. One other show is called Longmire and will air on A&E. It stars Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and takes place in a modern day western, similar to FX’s show Justified.  Hopefully these shows will help us get through the dog days of summer.
